Today, the University has one of the largest university campuses in Ukraine with 23 Schools and Educational and Research Institutes that train specialists in over 200 majors, covering the whole range of modern classic university education. Before the war waged by russia against Ukraine, Karazin University had over 20000 students, 4000 of them were international students from 50 countries. About 440 full professors, over 1300 associate professors and PhD students work in KKNU. According to the QS World University Rankings 2025 Karazin University was positioned 741–750 on a global scale and retained the second place among Ukrainian higher education institutions. Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, Karazin University has not been displaced and continues all its activities still being based in Kharkiv with university administration and all departments working from Kharkiv.

Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University is a public higher education institution which is well-known both in Ukraine and abroad. The University is accredited by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (IVth level of accreditation), and it prepares students in Bachelor, Master and PhD levels. Educational programmes (specialties) are based on the integration of domestic and foreign best practices and innovations in higher education.

Vinnytsia National Agrarian UniversityThe Vinnytsia State Agricultural University was established in 1978 when the Regional School of Agricultural Management was founded. The Vinnytsia affiliate of the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy was established on the basis of the school. After obtaining independence from the Academy in April 1991, the affiliate was renamed into the Vinnytsia State Agricultural Institute and in a year it reached the state accreditation. The six faculties are available - agronomical, management, mechanization of agriculture, accounting and audit, finance and economics, livestock breeding faculty. In institutes and colleges of the university study about 15 000 students.

Vinnytsia National Technical University is an educational establishment with the fourth level of accreditation known in Ukraine and far abroad. The University trains 6000 day time students, 1500 part time students, 100 PhD students. VNTU obtains IV-th level of accreditation and trains students according to the three stage system «Bachelor Engineer-Master» following the curricula, which integrates the peculiarities of national and Canadian system of higher education.

Classical national university of the fourth level of accreditation. The current license allows Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University to conduct educational activities in 61 directions for bachelors direction, in 92 specialities for specialists, in 93 specialties for masters.

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University is one of the oldest classical universities in Ukraine. One hundred years after the affiliation of Bukovina to the Austrian monarchy, the Franz-Josephs-Universität was inaugurated on 4 October 1875 (the name day of the emperor) on the basis of the Czernowitz Higher Theological School and Constantin Tomashchuk was appointed its first rector. Almost 20 thousands of students are being prepared in 54 universities and 69 programs. 87 chairs are working nowadays.

Zaporizhzhya Industrial Institute is a strong scientific and research complex. It is one of two state higher education institutions, wich prepeares specialists on the faculty of Metallurgical Engineering, faculty of Economics and management, faculty of Civil Engineering and Water Resources, faculty of Automated Systems of Process Control, faculty of Power Engineering and Energy Conservation.
