Student stories
Onur Alp Durmush, Turkey
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics
"I chose Ukrainian education because it adheres to European standards. I also researched and gathered information on Ukraine."
Victoria-Maria Unachukwu, USA
I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University
"I looked into regions, environment, culture, the weather; it was so similar to what I'm used to here in the United States, so it wasn't that huge of a difference; and the use of the dollar currency helped, as other places use euros, and I'm not familiar with that currency. All that made it much easier for me to transition from my country to this country and adapt to a different area where English is not spoken. That was actually a key challenge, and it was at first scary, but I conquered it. Also, I didn't know anyone when I first came here. I know a lot of students know people here, they have friends or cousins, but I didn't, so I took it as a challenge, and I'm happy I did. I also loved that the student body was very diverse. It was multicultural; I knew I was going to fit in perfectly in that environment. And the class was taught in English, which was a huge plus."
Fehintola Moses Damilola, Nigeria
Sumy State University
"Ukraine is one of the most popular study destinations in Nigeria. I also chose to study in Ukraine because I was looking for opportunities to study medicine abroad, and Ukraine was the most affordable country to study in in terms of price, it was the best option to me at that time."
Elfeituri Hashim, Libya
National University of Water and Environmental Engineering
"Ukrainian education is very professional. I gladly recommend my friends
and acquaintances to study in Ukraine, because the teachers are highly
qualified and masters of their fields. Besides, Ukrainian education is not
expensive and is available to everyone. Ukrainians are a very friendly
people, they often helped me, and I made a lot of friends here."
Teona Kakhiani, Georgia
National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
"Ukrainian education is more famous within the diaspora, but specifically
the universities that interact with it. Ukraine was my priority and I don't
regret it."
