Please familiarize yourself with the changes to the rules of crossing the Ukrainian border for foreign citizens!

From August 5, 2021 the rules of crossing the Ukrainian border for foreign citizens and persons with permanent residence permits are changed, due to the spread of the coronavirus strain “Delta”, the “quarantine” Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №1236 from December 9, 2020 was amended.

According to the new rules, foreign citizens must have a COVID-19 insurance policy and one of the following documents to cross the border:
• negative PCR test result for COVID-19 (no more than 72 hours before crossing the border);
• negative result of an express-test to determine the coronavirus antigen SARS-CoV-2 (no more than 72 hours before crossing the border);
• a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination from COVID-19 with vaccines included in the WHO list of permitted for use in emergencies, issued in accordance with IHR or in accordance with international agreements concluded by Ukraine on mutual recognition of vaccination documents.

If there is no document confirming receipt of the full course of vaccination from COVID-19 with vaccines included in the WHO, the foreigner (except persons under 18 and other categories of foreigners defined by the decree) should install an application called “Vdoma” (“Вдома”) and take the responsibility to initiate self-isolation in 72 hours in the absence of a negative PCR test for COVID-19 or express-test for coronavirus antigen SARS-CoV-2, made within 72 hours of crossing the border.

If it is impossible to use the “Vdoma” (“Вдома”) application, the citizen will be put under observation.

Importantly! The “Vdoma” (“Вдома”) application does not control or restrict the user’s movement for the first 72 hours after crossing the border. The application will monitor self-isolation from the third day or in case of a positive PCR COVID-19 test or express-test for coronavirus antigen SARS-CoV-2.

All persons, regardless of citizenship, who arrived from Russia or India and stayed in these countries for more than 7 days in the last two weeks, will be subject to stricter rules of self-isolation.

In particular, a mandatory 14-day self-isolation will be established for them, starting from the moment of the state border crossing without the right to its early completion.
