Taking into account the numerous requests from citizens of the Republic of Belarus, we would like to inform that those wishing to obtain higher education in Ukraine have the opportunity enrol in educational institutions for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in the relevant fields of knowledge.

In 2020, the admission of foreign citizens and stateless persons is carried out in higher education institutions that have valid licenses to conduct educational activities in the field of higher education with the possibility of teaching foreigners in relevant specialties or have accredited educational programs.

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus do not need an invitation from a higher education institution or a visa to enter Ukraine for study purposes.

To enrol in higher education institutions in the 2020-2021 academic year, you must submit documents no later than December 15.

Documents on education issued in Belarus, on the basis of which the admission will take place, can be submitted without affixing an apostille for their further recognition in Ukraine.

The terms of admission for foreigners to study have been extended until December 15, 2020 and until April 15, 2021.

Olena Shapovalova, director of the SE “Ukrainian State Center for International Education”, talks about how the pandemic has affected the number of people who want to study in Ukraine.

“Currently, 27,400 invitations for study for foreigners have been registered in the electronic journal kept by our institution. Last year in this period of time the figure was more than 40 thousand. So there is a reduction in the number, but it is not fatal” – notes Olena Shapovalova.

According to her, this decrease is caused by the fact that many students did not apply due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After all, in many countries there were issues with travel, obtaining visas, embassies were working erratically and in addition, advertising activity was suspended for six months.
