The annual ranking of the world’s best universities by Times Higher Education includes 10 Ukrainian universities:

• National University “Lviv Polytechnic”;

• Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics;

• Oles Honchar Dnipro National University;

• Ivan Franko Lviv National University;

• National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”;

• National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”;

• Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;

• V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University;

• Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

 

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022 includes more than 1600 universities from 99 countries and is based on 13 verified performance indicators that measure the institution’s performance in four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international prospects.

 

For this year’s ranking, the publication analyzed more than 108 million citations in more than 14.4 million scientific publications of almost 22 thousand scientists worldwide. In total, more than 43 thousand data points were collected from more than 2100 institutions that provided data.
